Shayne Lamas Announced Expecting A Baby Via Surrogate

Shayne Dahl Lamas, an American reality television personality and actress, known for winning twelfth season of the popular reality television show The bachelor got married to Nik Richie in 2010 and in 2011 Shayne Lamas and Nik Richie were blessed with a daughter Press Dahl Lamas-Richie. Two years after the birth of her first child, Shayne was expecting her second child but in February 2014, she collapsed in her Orange County home and was taken to the hospital. Later, it was revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage due to internal bleeding in her uterus. Further, after the complicated miscarriage of her 20 weeks baby, Shayne also had to get her uterus removed which made her incapable of conceiving a child but the hope wasn’t lost.

Shayne Lamas announced in September that they expecting a baby via surrogate, and  she revealed that the woman who was carrying her baby was her stepmom.

Surrogacy is a method of assisted reproduction where intended parents work with a gestational surrogate who will carry and care for their baby(ies) until birth. Intended parents use surrogacy to start or grow their families when they can’t do so on their own.

Shayne Lamas chose the path of surrogacy and got blessed with a baby boy with the help of her stepmother. Surrogacy can change lives of many.
