Male Infertility is just as likely as in Women

Research suggests that fertility issues are just as common in men as they are in women. Men’s reproductive issues are acknowledged to play a role in 50% of cases of infertility.

This can cause the same feelings of loss, failure and hopelessness women feel when faced with infertility, but it is often ignored.

Shadowed by taboo and embarrassment, the emotional experience of male infertility has been tucked away and ignored by the medical industry and often by men themselves. Compared with women, men are less likely to want to talk about their struggles.
